Rocket building project

I met Carolyn Butler, while I was was displaying rocketry at Chapelton Steam Rally, and was asked if I could do a rocket project, for her pupils.

So two afternoons where chosen, firstly on the 18th October, all 24 pupils sat down to start building their model rockets, with help from myself and other teachers, by the end of the afternoon, all the pupils had made their rockets, and would be allowed to dry until Thursday afternoon.

Thursday afternoon 20th October, we where in a different class, and Carolyn joined us, firstly the pupils and teachers prepared their rockets for flight, by packing the parachutes, and placing the motors into the rockets, I then gave a presentation on the history of the rocket, we all spent the next hour launching all the rockets, we all had great fun, and for a change the weather was good.

Unfortunately there were no photographs of the rockets being launched, the rockets flew to fast, I have been sent some letters by the pupils saying  how great it was building and launching their rockets I have replied to them, and have also sent their certificates to them.
